As a skilled triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Glasgold performed all of the most requested facial aesthetic procedures, but his specialties were primary and revision rhinoplasty and chin and cheek implants. He was consistently listed in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in America before his retirement in 2013. Dr. Glasgold founded the Glasgold Group Plastic Surgery in Highland Park, New Jersey, more than 30 years ago. His sons, Mark and Robert, are also board-certified New Jersey facial plastic surgeons and now run the practice.
After graduating from New York Medical College, he interned at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City, NY and completed his residency at Bronx Veteran’s Hospital and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then served in the U.S. Air Force at the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama before deciding to settle down in New Jersey.

Dr. Glasgold had served as Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, for 25 years. In addition, he was an attending physician at St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ, and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City, NY. Among his academic positions, he was a clinical professor of surgery at UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and a Resident Instructor of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital for a decade. For many years, he had frequently lectured and taught courses that demonstrate various different approaches to facial plastic surgery techniques, some of which he is credited with perfecting. He was also the course director of External Rhinoplasty for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For 10 years, he had served as a director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship Program of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, training many of the most promising facial plastic surgeons in the nation. A prolific writer on medical issues, Dr. Glasgold is the author of a textbook called Application of Biomaterials in Facial Plastic Surgery. His by-line also appears in multiple facial plastic surgery textbook chapters, and 33 of his articles are in medical publications.
Among Dr. Glasgold’s favorite pastimes are reading, sailing, exercising, traveling, and enjoying his family which includes five grandchildren. In addition to being a successful and influential surgeon, Dr. Glasgold considered himself to be a bit of an art connoisseur; He was on the Board of Overseers of the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. Together with Mrs. Glasgold, Dr. Glasgold established The Glasgold Family Foundation which supports the arts, education, and medical research.
