I’ll be having a facelift in September. My husband and I usually spend the winter (December to May) in southern Florida. I know I’m supposed to limit my sun exposure after surgery. How high of an SPF should I wear on my face when we’re there and what other precautions should I take with regards to sun exposure?
Answer:
It is more important to apply sunscreen every few hours than worry about the SPF and just be smart about not risking a sunburn. We believe that a facelift should not interrupt activity too much and we start patients exercising 5 days after surgery. You can follow one of our patients through her procedure on our website.
